Hello all,
I am here to ask some information regarding one person who is known to me as we are all here to share our experiences and cases. This person entered the state in 2015 with now legal status at all. He met a girl (NON EU ) in 2015 holding stamp 4 on refugee status.(both from same country ). They started living together in Dec 2015 at same address with proof of address . He applied for his permission through a solicitor for family reunification but they didn't accept his application by saying that he is not eligible for this permission and they forward his case to Defacto division where they again said they won't be able to accept his case as Defacto partner because she is holding refugee status. Here to clarify that she has been working full time since 2015 without any break since she got her refugee status( she is not taking any kind of benefits being a refugee at all). In short both dept. Family reunification and Defacto didnt accept his application due to her status ( refugee). she is applying her citizenship in a week time.
Note :Recently they both got married in Ireland and they have their marriage cert received today.
Any one know whats the best route he can take to apply for his permission to stay? what dept he should apply in ?
Thanks in advance.
