That's great news for everyone waiting. This caught my eye on that linked page: "At the ceremony candidates will take an oath of fidelity to the nation, receive their certificate of naturalisation and thereby become Irish citizens." Is this new wording on these next ceremony announcements? I believe certificates used to be handed out at the ceremonies, so maybe this is just out-of-date wording on a templated announcement. I no longer get my hopes up on anything related to this process. Saves the inevitable disappointment.
I feel the same way about not getting my hopes up. It’s definitely encouraging though and hopefully they do go back to handing out certificates at the ceremony. However we likely will not know if this is the case until we actually attend.

This is definitely great news. I assume they wouldn't include this sentence if they hadn't already made the decision to do so. There might be a ceremony every two months going forward.

OK I am wildly excited now. I wonder will they issue the invitation by email or post. We’re in France and post can be very slow. Yikes.

Just comparing the previous ceremonies announcement with the recent one:
At the ceremony candidates will take an oath of fidelity to the nation and thereby become Irish citizens.

Certificates of naturalisation will issue by registered post at a later date.
November 16th, 2023

At the ceremony candidates will take an oath of fidelity to the nation, receive their certificate of naturalisation and thereby become Irish citizens.
February 9th, 2024

So Hopefully it's not just a mistake. But in the Link provided at the end of the announcement, still not updated (This page was last updated on January 9, 2024) . It still says :
At the ceremony you will take an oath of fidelity to the nation. You do not become an Irish citizen until you have made your declaration. Your certificate of naturalisation will be issued by registered post in the weeks following the ceremony.

Just about all communication except approval letter is coming by email now, including ceremony invitations, so I’d be surprised if that isn’t the same for the next ceremony.

So they have certificates ready to go for the ceremony on 26th?
Whilst it is a good way forward..but still a very messed up system and process. Those that attended ceremony in Dec and yet to receive their certificate because they are being issued in drips and drabs will still be waiting long after those attending in feb 2024. That is just a slap in the face at this stage and so much for the notion that they do not want to create more work for the passport office.

Process will and should always keep getting better, while its a mess for the old applicants, it is at least some sort of good news for new applicants. lets hope everyone gets it faster from now on. i dont trust them anyway tbh, but online application is a big step forward

Does anyone think they’ll still send out approval letters at this point?

If the December ceremony is anything to go on, people received their approval decision letters right up to the week before the ceremony. Those people had to be incredibly quick with submitting the payment and required certificate photo online to receive the invitation.

I’d say that was a bit of an anomaly to get decisions out and the ceremony filled before end of year, but it shows that it’s possible to do.

There could well be a build up of people who didn't get that Dec approval letter in time. We got my wife's approval letter through the door two days after the cut-off for the December ceremonies.

Would it be fair to assume that applicants that had their fee processed recently are likely to get an invitation for 29th Feb?

Who knows? My husband’s payment was processed on the day of the last December ceremony and I was really hoping he would be invited to this next one but now I’m wondering whether there’s a backlog.
Will let you know as soon as we hear anything (if we hear anything!).
Less than 2 weeks to go so surely invitations will be sent soon….

You never know - it's not a guarantee. I skipped two ceremonies (which was pretty disappointing).

Good grief. I’ll not book the flights just yet in that case.

Are you saying they skipped over you for two ceremonies AFTER you received a decision and fees were paid and processed?

Received my ceremony invitation for 26 February at 2pm. The email does say we will receive our naturalisation certificate in the weeks after, which is counter to the recent update on the website.

Invitation email said 2pm, but once I registered it now says 3pm. I better get there early knowing how this entire process has been!

Nope, I messed up and confused my eVetting date with approval date (which would put me before both first '23 ceremonies). Apologies!
They didn't process my payment on time for the next ceremony, which was not nice, but got there at the end.

I've seen reports of others with same issue (11am email, 3pm when registered); better to be early.

Yes and then the final registration email confirmation came back at 2pm again. I’ll be there for 2pm just to be safe.

I received my invitation at 2pm on 26th February, 2023... lol. I should be there at 1pm for registration as instructed.

The email mentioned that the certificate will be sent by post within a few weeks. Hopefully, that's just a typo like the date (26th February 2023) as it's from an old template and will align with what's on the official website!
