Visa for non EU spouse to UK

Hey Everybody happy new year i hope you guys doing well.
I was wondering if anybody could help me Me and my husband are planning to visit Uk for our babies appointment i am irish national and my husband have stamp 4 does he need to apply for any certain visa or we can just book the tickets and fly to Uk?
Please let me know we are not sure what to do and how to do.

He will need a UK visa.
