IRP insurance documents

Post by Romantic123 » Thu Jul 17, 2025 5:35 pm

My partner received her Stamp 4 visa, as the mother of an Irish citizen child, and we have a meeting in Dublin next week to get her IRP card.
One of the requirements is 12 months' insurance. She had travel insurance on arrival in December 2024, and we purchased full health insurance in February. A one-year policy. I'm wondering if the 12-month policy they ask for is from the date of the IRP meeting, or will the policy that starts in February suffice?
Thanks

If someone is already residing in ireland on stamp 1 g and becomes parent of irish child, do they still need medical insurance to renew (change) their permission to stamp 4 (online)?

Thanks
