Is apostille needed for immigration Stamp 4 and/or naturalization documents?

Post by GoingBackBackToEire » Thu Aug 28, 2025 4:09 pm

I scoured the www.irishimmigration.ie website but I can't find any reference to whether apostille is required for immigration and naturalization.

For a US citizen, married to an Irish citizen, moving to Ireland and getting a Stamp 4, do any of the documents need apostille?

Looking at the list of documents for stamp 4 married to a citizen, it's passports, proof of address, proof of insurance, and marriage certificate. Does the US marriage certificate need apostille?

Same question for naturalization. Does anything need apostille?

It's easy to get now. It will be harder to get after we leave.
