Israeli Work VISA

Post by papster1973 » Tue Feb 04, 2025 8:24 pm

Hello all.

Does anyone one on here know about Israeli Work VISA application process?
There is a health declaration form with a specific question about mental health.
If a person was diagnosed some years previous but is now OK, would this still compromise their application?

If yes, are there other documents that can be provided? Mental health screening test and certificate with a mental health professional? Something else?

Appreciate any assistance.

Many thanks.

Are you applying under the law of return? What type of work visa are you exploring?

If you are looking for a job via agency maybe ask them?

Hi Razergd1

It's the 'B-4 Volunteer Visa'.

Any thoughts?

B-4 is a short term volunteer visa not a work visa. I never applied for a visa to Israel (I'm a national of Israel).

So what I wrote here is from the knowledge of the culture. If you had mental issues in the past but you do not pose a risk to yourself or to others at present and you meet other requirements for the visa I can't see a reason for it to be rejected.

Tell the truth and that's it. No need to worry.
You will need a letter of invitation from the organisation you are going to volunteer at.
Unless you are a national of certain countries the decision maker is usually an Israeli consular officer in your home country I guess he will have a friendly check ask a bit about your background and intentions and about your volunteering work.
