Job Offer Part-Time hours. Salary over £30 000 p.a

Post by AylaP » Fri Dec 24, 2021 6:21 pm

Hi. I'm looking for some advice please.

Under Skilled Worker Visa and Health and Care Worker visa what are the required working hours?

Can one apply for these visa categories with a sponsored part-time job offer (18.5 hours a week) that meets the salary requirements and is a permanent post? Or the job has to be full-time hours 37-40 hours a week?

Hello. In addition to my above question.

As a sponsored employee, am I able to take two jobs in the same pay band with the same sponsor at 18.5 hours each meaning 37 hours a week?

I'm a public health consultant who is well versed in two areas - 1. Sexual Health Promotion. 2. Health and Wellbeing Promotion for Children and Young People.

Employer has both roles available to me and would like to have me on both roles as they are both part-time meaning I can commit my time to both.

Would the employer need to issue me two COS for each role or just one COS can cover both roles?

Part time is fine.

Noted. Thank you for the information.

Can I also take on two part-time jobs with same employer and in same pay band? Would employer need to issue me two COS or one COS can be used to cover both roles?

Regarding your 2nd post
Option 1: Can the employer simply merge the two posts into one?
Option 2: Apply visa for one of the posts and you can work up to 20 hours a week on another one if it has the same occupation code and at the same level as your main job, see details here https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/second-job

Hi. I just heard back from the employer. They can't merge the two jobs into one. They have offered me both positions under two different contracts.

I have been issued a COS for the first job that I interviewed for which is what I will use to apply for the Health and Care Worker Visa.

Both jobs are same band and under the same occupation code. Not yet sure how this will work out for me in regards to paying tax but hopefully somewhat still in my favour.
