Hi Everyone,

I'm a UK citizen and i have been offered a job in Dublin. I really want to move to Ireland so now that i have the offer can i just go and set up or is there any formailities i need to do?

I would also like to become an Irish citizen at some point. How do i go around doing this?

Since you are a UK citizen, you can just accept the job and move over.

I think you will be able to apply for Irish citizenship after 5 years residence in Ireland. However, they are cuurently taking well over 2 years to process naturalization application, so it's anybody's guess as to how long the wait will be once you're eligible!
