IT jobs in Australia

Hi,

I am an IT professional currently working in India. I am hoping to migrate to Australia probably in the next year or two. I am having about 9 years of experience in the IT services industry. Majority of this experience (about 8 years) has been in working as an Applications Developer/Programmer. Of late I have moved up the ladder and am working as a Project Leader. I have exposure of working in international assignments (not Australia though) in my career so far.

I wanted to know what kind of jobs in IT would I have a chance of securing as a new migrant to Australia? Would I have to start a career there at the Developer/Programmer level or can I get jobs in a project/team lead position, considering that 1 or 2 years down the line I will have around 3 years of project lead experience. I have no issues working in any position as such, but I need to understand where I should be concentrating my efforts in for fulfiling my long term goal of settling down under.
Please can anyone suggest/advise. If someone has their personal experiences to share, it would really help.
