Jobs in Telecom Domain : GSM/GPRS/3G and GPS/TETRA

Post by Undra » Thu Jan 24, 2008 9:26 am

Hi all,

I have applied for HSMP and waiting for my approval.
(Hope I'll get it soon)

I have 4 years experience in GSM/GPRS/3G
and GPS/TETRA knowledge is also available.

I would like to know how much is the chance to get job with background like mine? I have searched this forum and found out that there were good chances to get positions related this field few years ago. :(

Anyone pls give me information, any advices or suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Undra

What kind of GSM, etc. experience do you have?
If it's engineering or technitian position then you have more chances to find a job quickly.
As for me, having 10-year experience in GSM (4 as a support engineer and 6 as a technical manager) I cannot find a better job than a tech.sales manager within VoIP business.

Thank you Alexleav for your response.
I really appreciate it.
Yes, I have worked as protocol stack engineer, worked on Layer 2,3;
Now I'm working on GPS+GSM terminal development.
What are the chances to get a job,do you think, in my case?

Thanks again,

Dear Undra,
I believe you'll get a job more or less easily.
If this is your first job abroad don't pretend to the senior position straight away, start with some "assistant" stuff.

Good luck!
