Joint application, separate results?

Post by beow » Mon Dec 26, 2022 10:35 pm

Hi all,

Hope you all have a festive holiday! I have a quick question regarding the citizenship application. We applied last year on the same day; the husband received the minister's approval and paid the fee a couple of weeks ago, however, the wife's application is somehow delayed.

We were wondering if there is anybody else experiencing the same or heard of the same issue previously?

Thanks!

a bunch of those in the timeline thread, eg post2097237.html#p2097237 and post2085348.html#p2085348

feel free to add your timeline btw!

I assume each application being decided on own merits as naturalization and immigration are separate concepts, so there's no dependency/etc concept.

Thanks, I appreciate your answer! Seems pretty common stuff despite all our friends getting approvals together. Will try to remember my timeline and submit it, we weren't really keeping an eye on the process, just let it run :D
