Just a normal guy looking for a change in the USA

Post by Dave Roberts » Sat Aug 13, 2011 3:27 pm

Hey.

I am 20 years old and I want to up sticks to NY. I have become to realise this is so much more easier said than done. My main problem lies with getting a job for a potential employment visa. The only way I'm going to get into the country is with an employment visa. However I am not looking for a professional job, all I want is steady work in a bar. So how do I go about this? I have come to the conclusion that entering form after form only for me to think they're being sent to a long list of other forms filled out by actual american's while I actually could be going to NY for a week and going to every bar and restaurant to see if they will actually give me a job in person. I feel like this is a better option too as my employer will need to co-operate with me on my visa application form?

At my current stage, with my current needs what are my best options right now?! Advice would be much appreciated. :D
