Kids Biometric requirement for kids registration

Hi ,

I have query that kids under 5 years are not required to have biometric first of all is this correct ?
I am planning to fill his registration online form and he is 20 days from 5 years .
So UKBA will consider date when we complete online form so he doesn't have to go for biometrics .

PS - My son is born in UK .

You must attend biometrics. The staff will take child’s digital photo.
