Kids MN1 Eligibility check

Hi, Please could you advise whether my kids are eligible to apply for MN1 in below scenario,

* I am now British after naturalization
* Wife & kids are on ILR dependent visa since 2021, currently extended to second term of 2.5 years. They will only complete 5 years in 2026.
* Kids are born abroad
* Kids living in UK since 2019

When i contacted UKVI helpdesk, they say I can register them using MN1 since one parent is British and kids are already in the UK over 3 years under section 3(1) and at the same time asking to consult immigration solicitors.

But solicitors are not very confident and says application may get refused since they born abroad.


Has anyone done this before ? Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Children born abroad need ilr first.

They can apply when they have ilr and the other parent has ilr.

Note the help desk is a third party agent, you are not speaking to ukvi staff.
