KINDLY recap HSMP approval process from India

Post by umeshsethi » Mon Jan 09, 2006 7:09 am

Hi ,
I was earlier in UK on WHM . Applied for HSMP approval there myself as all information readily av. on workinginuk website. Now it was refused as they deemed some documents insufficient. Now i am in india to get these documents and reappluy but am facing folllowing issues.

A ) Totally clueless as to how to apply for approval ( not EC )from here in India . VFS Delhi office also seems to be clueless. My guess is that application directly goes to UK... but what is the address for sending application , what is the fee ( is it 315 GBP for out of UK applicants or less ..( i hope less ) , what agency i.e postal service to use to send the documents and so on an so forth.

Please pardon if this has been addresssed earlier.. If possible pls lead me to that posting or pls address this. here

B) What is the form to be used by someone applying for this approval ?... is it the same application form as downloadable from www.workingintheuk.com website...but that mentions 315 GBP as approval fee ... so is this the case...

C) any website clearly dealing with applying from india for HSMP for approval ? - as neither working in uk website nor www.ukinindia.com seem to tackle it and VFS (VIsa facilitation Service is clueless).

D) SO DO I simply send to Doncaster/Sheffield with documents and fee and how to send fee .. i have credit card/ debit card as well.

Thanks and Happy new year to all.

I dont understand the confusion from your side.

The same form you used last time.
but that mentions 315 GBP as approval fee
Its not an approval fee. Its the cost of processing your application regardless of getting approved or rejected.
any website clearly dealing with applying from india for HSMP for approval ?
No - Suggest you read the HSMP Guidelines document which is downloadable.
SO DO I simply send to Doncaster/Sheffield with documents and fee and how to send fee .. i have credit card/ debit card as well.
You can pay by credit/debit/switch or a UK cheque or a postal order. You really need to read the guidelines document and then get back to the forum if you have more questions. The address for the website is www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/.

Go to the forms page on that website, download the HSMP application form and guidelines document and read them more than once. Most of your general questions will be answered. If you have any more specific questions, someone will be able to help you out.

Process from India- just one query

Post by umeshsethi » Tue Jan 10, 2006 7:42 am

Hi .
I know i sound lost its not because i am lazing around and not reading the HSMP guide for under 28. I am just confused as some friends said process from india is different and fee for Assessment part of the procdure is less i.e Rs 7200 whereas i am getting the feeling that it is the same process for all countries and that out of country applicants need to send the documents to same address in UK with cheque / DC/CC details and fee is 315 GBP itself. Rest info. i know is in the guide itself

Is that the case ?

Thanks.

regards
Umesh

Umesh, you are confusing two aspects. Firstly you need to get your approval for HSMP, and you can only apply for that by post to the UK, and then having got approved, then you make an application in your country for an EC to enter the UK and use that HSMP.

KINDLY recap HSMP approval process from India

Umesh: The fee of Rs 7200 that you are mentioning is Actually Visa fee that you will pay while applying for EC (after getting HSMP approval). Otherwise for HSMP applicatin the fee is abt GBP315. The process is same as per the guidelines (which do mention the address for sending the application). There is enough information available on this forum to dig out. I myself had got lotsa valuable info from this board while i was filing from india. You can pm me if you want any specific information.
