Labour market test before getting Sponsor licence

Post by Dennbres » Mon Feb 01, 2010 5:21 pm

An organization submitted documents for getting a Sponsor license a week ago.
Is it allowed to make a Labour market test (place advertisements) BEFORE the issue of a Sponsor licence?

Thank You so much for any help.

1. According to the guidence "A sponsor who carried out a resident labour market test".
2. The term sponsor has been used so it means after the company has got the licence then they can do the test and not before as getting a licence can take up to 4 to 8 weeks.
3. I wud wait for other people to response on this issue.

Thank you ash786.

To be honest, I have not found any information about this case at ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk and in “Guidance for Sponsor Applications for Tier 2 and Tier 5 of the Points Based Systemâ€

Here is an official answer

Thank you for your email.

There is nothing specific in the guidance other than the CoS having to be issued within 6 months of the original advert so you can advertise now as long as you issue a Certificate of Sponsorship within that time

Kind regards
