Hi Chandan
You said in another
topic that you have a mortgage.
Now I am really curious about why you would want to buy land.
Does it already have planning permission or is it in a built up area?
Are you going to build a house or farm the land yourself?
Are you going to rent the land out for grazing or to be used as arable land?
Are you going to leave it unused and to go derelict, bearing in mind that it would go to scrub over time (by this I mean saplings and brambles) and then would be less atractive to rent or sell in the future?
If you are not going to use it, vacant land can attract problems, IME builders driving in and dumping lorry loads of rubble and waste like fridges. How are you going to monitor this?
If you don't intend to buy a large area, have you researched about how easy to sell again, I mean who would want just a few acres without planning permission for a house? if you want to buy adjacent fields in the future would you be able to?
I know this sounds nosey, so you don't have to answer.
I just wanted to point out why people don't buy land. It wouldn't seem worth it to me unless it had planning permission for houses, or was a large area that could be rented out, or maybe was a farm with a farmhouse and farm buildings as well as land.
I know people do buy one field only, but the only people I know who have done that have had a horse and the field was also right next to the houses in the village, so could be sold on easily or rented to horse owners.
