Hi Gurus,
I need some advises to get general visitor visa for my in-laws.
My wife is pregnant and her due date is less than 2 months. We applied general visitor visa for her parents, but unfortunately their applications has been rejected due to discrepancies between application forms and support documents.
Now we are going to make another applications short after the first ones. We want to make sure at least one of them can get the visa. My questions are:
1. Should we apply as two separate applications or both together? First time both applied together, my mother in-law as dependant of my father in-law and it was rejected mainly because discrepancies in my father in-law application. We are mainly worried that their application might be rejected again due to limited social tie (they have only their son and their house back in home country). If they apply separately, indicating not travelling together with different entry date, could be useful?
2. Is there any cool-off period between two applications? Unfortunately we need to apply urgently.
3. We have one bedroom / one living room flat. Is it accepted as proper accommodation for 2 extra persons?
4. My mother in law is house-wife with no savings. If I want to be her sponsor (or sponsor for both), do I need to fill a special form? For the rejected applications I provided my bank statements (about ~7k) as well as 3 payslips and stated in the invitation letter that I will provide accommodation and financial support for them, but there was no mention about my support in refusal letter.
5. About the duration, my mother in-law wants to stay at least for a period of two months and her return date is not clear. How can specify such a duration? In the reject applications I mentioned maximum five months, but in invitation letter stated for 2 months and it was one the reasons for refusal (discrepancy).
6. Do they need to provide flight tickets up front as part of documents?
7. Is there any premium service? and what is the cost?
8. Can I get a lawyer here in the UK to represent them?
I'm a British Citizen and my wife is resident for more than 2 years.
Thanks for your help,
Sadr
