lawyers or no lawyers?

Post by jobi110 » Mon Dec 18, 2006 5:43 am

Hello People,

I am 'Syed'...Just finished my masters degree in UK.I am planing to apply for HSMP.my points are:

age:20
previous earnings:15
Masters degree :35
uk edu: 5

total=75

I was working in pakistan as E-marketing manager for an American company. I can get all the employer documents (wage slips, certificates) but can not provide bank statement as i dont bank with them (ex-bank) anymore. I am in full time education for last 3 years.

now my 3 questions for you people:

1: I did my IELTS in nov 2004. would tht still be recognised by HO?
2: Does that gap between my last work experience and now will be considered as negitive?
3: is it better to pay lawerys for your case representation or should if go on by myself?

thanks

Depends if you're trying to economize or not.

The new points system makes it easier to apply without a lawyer.

Make sure you clearly label everything.

I did mine without a lawyer and it got approved in 4 days.

I had 95 points tho.
