Leave and Re -Entry requirements for UK visitor from US

I recently visited the UK and stayed for 5 weeks. I wanted to know if there is a time period for which I am required to remain in the United Stated before I return? I have researched this topic on several government websites and to date have not seen any notes that say I have to remain in the US for a certain length of time before I travel again. Thoughts?

Only 'rule' is no more than six months in any twelve.

The '6 months in 12' is only an indication, and not the only factor in assessing whether someone is genuinely a short-term visitor. Some passengers enter the UK every few weeks because they are travelling on business. However, someone who entered for a 5-week holiday and is returning again may expect a few more questions about the reason for their visit, their ability to fund it, and what they have to go back to in their own country.
