Leaving UK for Holiday

Post by Lusio » Tue Oct 25, 2011 10:54 pm

I am under Tier 5 - government authorized exchange.
My visa was for a period of 2,5 months, and I extended the internship for another 2,5 months, and have now a Biometric Residence Permit which ends by the end of December.
I would like to travel for few days to an EU country for which I don't need a visa.
I tried to find an answer if leaving UK is permitted, but I found different answers, and also called the BA but I couldn't as it is not so clear.
I found that you may leave for leisure, but also that the visa lapses once you leave the UK.

I appreciate your help,
Kindest Regards

That's correct (20).
If you need to be able to come and go from the UK with your job wrote:If you leave the UK and you were given 6 months or less permission to stay (leave to remain), you will not be able to come back as your permission to stay ends when you leave the UK. You must apply again to be able to come back
It's probably best to have your holiday within the UK.
