Leaving the UK after BC & Passport - Please help

Hi,

I recently obtained BC through Naturalisation (10 Years +1 Year ILR) and my company( which is a UK registered subsidiary of an Indian company) has posted me to a European registered subsidiary of the same company. They would like me to move immediately and I may be there for 2-3 years. ( Thus away from the UK for this period)

Will my citizenship be at risk , given how quickly I will have to move and will my future intentions be queried in the future by the HO. I own no property in the UK , although I have lived in the UK for a substantial amount of time.

I would be grateful if any of the board members could offer help. Thanks!

I think after getting UK passport there is no limit on absence from UK. If your job requirements changes it should not affect your citizenship. I guess more info will be provided by the moderator , senior members for a long absence (say 10 + years ...)

No problem, although on your return you may have to satisfy the conditions of a habitual residence test (HRT) before you are able to claim benefits.

I am also in a similar situation , Applied for AN and waiting to hear from HO.I own a house in the UK , and Dont cliam any benifits from Council . Do I come under the HRT radar ?

Just need clarification that if I do not claim any benefits on my return, the HRT test wouldn't apply to me?
