Citizenship ceremonies are only arranged abroad for people who either have the right to register as a British citizen (such as on Form UKM or UKF) or are spouses of British citizens abroad on Crown Service (generally military staff or diplomats posted abroad).
Absolutely in theory, you can. But, what if you're then required to attend an interview, or something unplanned happens?
I'm not terribly sure about the wisdom of using a courier service for such a sensitive document.
There is no such requirements in place so far as known.ts531 wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 11:52 pmThanks everyone for your valuable insights. My permanent address is in UK and my family will be living in UK while I am in USA. Therefore my family can certainly carry the passport to USA when it arrives in my UK address. I am not aware of any legal requirements to be physically present in the UK while the British passport is being processed. Please correct me if I am wrong.
You're forgetting one key factor in all of this. When you apply for a British Passport, you would be required to submit all current passports you have. Even if you had 5 of them.
