Leaving UK without BRP (but with an approval letter)

Hi all,

I'm a Malaysian citizen who has just graduated from a medical course in the UK and will be embarking on my foundation year as a doctor in the UK (hence the reason why I'm still on a T4 visa despite working).

I've recently applied for a BRP and had it approved. However, there has been some delivery issues and I have not yet received my BRP. This is getting worrying as I am due to leave the UK soon to visit my homeland in the next week or so and the chances of my receiving my BRP before then are slim to say the least.

Will it be possible for me to re-enter the UK with just my CAS letter, passport and the BRP approval letter?
