legacy application

Post by sarahassy » Thu May 26, 2011 7:24 pm

i have a friend who came to the uk in 2002 and applied for asylum, she was a minor and she was ranted exceptional leave to remain until she was 18. She applied for legacy in december 2010 but until today, the only response she received was a letter informing her solicitor that the application was received in january 2010. However, since then she has not received any response. She has tried calling the homeoffice but her reference number does not even come up on the system. If anyone has any advise, please help. thank you so much.

'legacy' is not an application that you make. Relevent cases are considered under the case resolution directorate's 'legacy' criteria however 'legacy' is not in itself an application. When did her ELR expire? Did she apply for further leave/indefinite leave to remain before her ELR expired?

All 'legacy' cases have, according to UKBA, now been reviewed. If your friend has not yet had a decision she needs to write to
