We (husband and I plus 2 kids) submitted our citizenship application in the beginning of November and then attended a UKVCAS Sopra Steria appointment to enrol our biometrics and check documents.
We have received two letters today- one for each of the kids- to enrol biometrics at the post office. Both of the letters referenced a previous correspondence asking for biometrics which we never received.
I am so confused. Does anyone know why we would be asked for the kids biometrics when we already gave them?

Hi, this is worrying to be honest, we have an appointment next week, but as I have seen they don't provide any proof of submission of biometrics and documents, hope they will fix it and we will be able to get some sort of confirmation as I can't trust them now after I've seen your post.

You can call up Sopra Steria helpline (there is a cheaper number for applicants) and confirm whether your biometrics were submitted. Have your reference number ready

This morning we re-did the biometrics at the post office as to not delay our application.
It makes me worried that may get something else wrong. The lack of confirmation from Sopra Steria is concerning. If I was doing the appointment I would ask to see the confirmation that it was all submitted and perhaps ask for a copy of that.

Hi, you can try 0330-123-1199, it says on their website that
"If you have enquiries with respect to purchases you have already made you can use our enquiry form or call the non-premium rate number provided in your booking confirmation email.", and this is the number I have in my email.

UPDATE: Today i received an email from UKVI saying the letters were sent in error! The only positive to take from this is that perhaps they are looking at our application.

Hi, have you received your approval by now? I was just curious if the new process is a bit faster.
Thanks

There is no "new" process for deciding applications - all that has changed is the provider of the submission process. No changes to internal UKVI processing has been made (the six months rule is still in place).
