Level of accuracy of previous employment dates, special characters, change in referee address?

Post by Pole » Sun Mar 07, 2021 7:36 pm

How accurate do the dates need to be for the 10 year employment history? Does it matter if you're a few days out?

Also, should I write names and addresses in their native form with accents/special characters, or use plain letters I.e. cześć vs czesc?

What should I do if one of my referees moves addresses after I have submitted my application but before I've received the outcome?

Many thanks

It will be ok to provide approximate dates and other details for employments where you don't have accurate details.

Best to write them using the nearest plain letter. Note that if your name contains special characters, UKVI and HMPO will also use the nearest plain letters.

Referees are rarely or never contacted - but you could send an email to NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk providing your own and your referee's changed details

Many thanks
