Indefinate Leave to Remain Application

We as family ( Me, My Wife and 2 Daughters) wants to apply to ILR this August.
With the combination of Visas ( ICT + Family Visa) we will be completing 10 years in August.
- First Entry on 26 Aug 2016(ICT Visa) with a gap to 88 days
- ICT Visa ( 6-Nov-2016 till Aug-2025)
- Family Visa ( Aug 2025 till Feb 2028)

I would like to understand if the following is true and there should be any issues in applying ILR.

- Initial Date of Travel to UK : 26 Aug 2016 till 10 - Aug -2017
- Absence of 88 days to get the new Visa but travelled within 180 days
- Travelled back on 7th Nov 2017.
- We need to spend 1 year on our current Visa so the earliest we can apply is 15th Aug 2026 ( we can apply 28 days in advance but due to this constraint)

My wife and two daughters are staying here in UK. We are paying the rent and council taxes as normal. Also, My two daughters are going to the schools. My wife is working in the nursery. They meet the requirements for long term residency.

I am transferred to a different country in Europe with European Salary from 7th April 2026. I have already maintained more than 180 days requirement and meet the requirement of long term residency UK.
Is that an issue for ILR long route as long as I maintain the residency requirement of 180 days in any 12 rolling months? Also, I will be spending time(1 Month of next 5 months) with my family in UK and I will keep on visiting them.

Assuming you left the UK with a valid leave to remain and then returned within 180 days, that should be fine.

That should also be fine, so long as your total absence across all 10 years is less than 540 days.

Be aware that long absences from the UK will have implications for any naturalisation application.

Assuming you left the UK with a valid leave to remain and then returned within 180 days, that should be fine.

My situation is the same as per point 3.

3) Note that transitional arrangements preserve the position that if you left the UK with a valid visa and returned within 6 months, their continuous residence period is maintained. This position is preserved even after the recent rule changes.
Appendix Continuous Residence (at paragraph CR 2.2A) recognises that its provisions are different from the previous long residence rules at paragraph 276A and makes transitional arrangements specifically for long residence applicants.

Paragraph CR 4.1.(d)(iii) also preserves the position in the rules as of 10 April 2024 for applicants who had permission when they left the UK and returned to the UK with a valid permission, provided they do not exceed the limit of permissible absences.

- Yes , I understand the naturalisation application will get delayed till I reach to a stage where I can meet the residency requirements for naturalization.

Also, Does my youngest daughter(she is UK Born) have to wait for a year before applying for British citizenship considering myself and my wife gets the ILR (18th Aug - considering we will applying fast track) ?

You have seen my post on long residence before regarding the absence limits. The date of entry is irrelevant.

No. You are required to meet the rules. If you do, then you qualify.

This is mostly outside the scope of immigration advice here. There are many websites out there that offer mock tests or test preparations for LIUK. We cannot comment on which one is better. The advice over the years has been that doing some mock tests as well as studying the official book, should be more than enough to pass the test. This is a straightforward and easy test for most people
