Limited company earnings (Tier 1 Extension)

Post by love2die » Wed Apr 01, 2009 12:10 pm

Hi Team,

Im holder for HSMP (Highly skilled migrant prog) and my extension is due in Dec 2009. Im working in UK as a contractor and formed my own limited company last year being the only director of the company (100% shareholder).

Im a bit confused about showing points in previous earning category. Do i claim points for my personal earning (salary + dividends) paid from my company account during last 12 mnths or claim it for my company earnings.

I have read the guidelines but im still confused, would you be able to assist me in this.

Hi,

You can claim points for "your" earnings which includes your salary(min which you are paying yourself) and dividends.
Many companies in UK offers candidates dividends as a part of the renumerations; so this would be fine.
You need to provide the following evidence for the same:

1. Payslips (which shows your min. salary)
2. Dividend vouchers from your accountant. This voucher would have "net" dividend given to you. A letter from accountant would be a great as well.

3. Bank Statement corroborating you payslips and dividend vouchers.

Hope this would help.
