Limited Company in Retained Loss

Hi All

I operate on a Limited Company basis, now applying for FLR(M)-Dependent Visa and the requirement of earnings to be showed is 18,600 in the last financial year.

Profit of the Company = 'x' amount
Dividends Claimed = 'greater than x' amount
Hence Company occurred a loss = '3,533'

Could you please let me know if I can apply for the visa in the following circumstances :

1. When I deduct loss of 3533 from the profit, the remainder is >18600.
2. When I deduct loss of 3533 from the Dividends, the remainder
is >18600.
