Live-in caregiver program, Canada

Post by coolgal » Mon Mar 26, 2007 3:26 pm

Hi everybody,

I am new here (first post) and not sure if this topic has been covered before but I am hoping somebody will be able to help me out.

I am a 46-year-old from India. Although I have never worked as a caregiver or nanny before, I do have many years of experience raising my own two kids. My son is 24 years old now and my daughter 12. What I would like to know is will this count as experience if I apply to immigrate to Canada under the live-in caregiver program? Also, will my age go against me? At present, I work from home as a medical transcriptionist if that counts for anything.

Any help on the above will be greatly appreciated

TIA :)
