Loan amount for standard visit visa UK

Post by Zulqarnain » Mon Oct 07, 2019 4:24 pm

Hi,

I want to apply for my mother's standard visitor visa for her to visit me in UK, this would be 2 years standard visitor visa.

She has been in UK before for 6 months visit visa and left on time, following all UKBA regulations.

I would like to know how much funds should be enough to support her for her 2 years standard visitor visa? excluding residence as she will be staying with me in my house for free.

Also, can I use loan amount which I have recently got from a lender for my mother's visa application to show as a proof for her financial maintenance in UK?

Much appreciated.

Thanks.

You can use the same funds you used for her 6 months visa.

The 2-year visa doesn't allow her to stay 2 years solid. Are you aware about it? They check how many times she visited to UK and how long she stayed. If they feel she is using visitor visas to stay longer and longer in the UK (making UK her main residence), they refuse visitor visas in the future.

There is no legal maximum for visitors but when they give a multi-year visa, they don't expect the holder to stay years in the UK.
