Check p14 of this UKVI document https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... gov-uk.pdfsadie35 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 29, 2022 12:15 pm@zimba hi again I wanted to double check with you. I cam in uk on 27 April 2012 and my current leave is expiring on 23 April 2022. I went to see solicitor and he advised to apply on 21 April 2022 and do biometrics after 27 April 2022 as otherwise I will not complete 10 years. I wanted to ask about 28 day rule can I not apply 28 days before I complete my lawfull 10 years.
Thankyou in Advance
There is no such a thing as the 28 days rule. It is simply a concession provided by the home office for all ILR applications where you can get ILR before completing the qualifying period for ILR. UKVI will use the date that is most beneficial to the applicant, so the date of decision is used.sadie35 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 29, 2022 12:15 pm@zimba hi again I wanted to double check with you.
