Long term 10 years family visit visa

Hi guys, I'm seeking some advice here please. My parents are planning to come to the UK to visit me this year. The have visited once in 2012, had a 6 months visa. I'm British citizen. I want them to apply for the 10 years visa this time, but I don't know how risky that is. Any advice please!
