hi folks, hope all is keeping well. just wondering if i invite my mum and brother as i,m a non EEA with a residency card as a family member of an EEA National. my question is,
will they be able to apply for residency card after coming into the country with a visiting visa? if yes what way should i go? thanks looking forward hearing from yous chees!

They don't need to apply for a Residence Card. A visitor visa is enough for them to visit you following your kind invitation.

thanks for responding to my post...but what i want to know is if they chooses to remain in the country eg like my brother, for him to remain in the country i presumed he will need to apply for EEA2 as other member or extended member of an EEA National. how posible is it for him to switch from visitors visa to that while he is already in the country?

If your brother is likely to fall in love with the UK while he is here, the proper way is to enter the country as a family member of EEA national and not as a tourist.

See here the "other family member" categories and if your brother fits one of them.
