I lost my home office travel document abroad.

Hello,

I have a refugee status in the UK and I need advice regarding the lost of Home Office Travel Document abroad. What should I do now since the British consulate cannot issue me an emergency travel document because I am not British.

According to a home office guideline I saw, you'll have to apply to the nearest British consulate for a single entry document or pass from wherever you are to facilitate your departure from where you are and to be allowed into the UK upon arrival. Upon arrival, you then can apply for a new document.

You probably need to report the loss to the nearest police station. You can be asked to the show the police report as proof when you apply for any temporary document from the British consulate.
