Lost HSMP documents in transit - Please help

Post by zsrk » Sat Jun 21, 2008 1:03 pm

Hi Everyone,
I applied for HSMP on 13th Feb ‘08 and the documents received by home office on 18th Feb ‘08. I called home office on 19th June ’08 regarding my application status, my application has been approved and they had posted the documents to my home address (India, Hyderabad) on 10th April by Royal Airmail. My mailing address is correct. It is confirmed by the Home office. As per some of the posts in this forum, it takes 5 to 7 days to reach the documents to India. But unfortunately more than 9 weeks also I have not received my original documents. I have contacted local post office. They said, if the documents arrive in ordinary post, they will directly deliver to home. Local post office is help less on this. I have contacted the HSMP office they told me that they can’t do anything. They don’t have any tracking number to know the status of the delivery. I sent three mails to home office saying that, I would like to arrange the courier pickup for my documents. But I didn’t get any response from them. I don’t know what to do? I lost all my original documents (Engineering Degree, Driving License…. etc).

I request every one to please guide and help me on this on situation? Could you please share your ideas/ thoughts on this?

Thanks,
Krishna.

Aas far as HSMP approval letter is concerned (assuming your application was approved), you can request for a repreint from the HO. Please read HSMP guidance to know how this can be done.

As for your other documents, unfortunately there is nothing you can do about the originals .. except hope!

regards

Start getting copies for all your other documents that you had submitted.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your reply. I want request Royal mail to check their undelivered items section for my certificates. Could any one please provide the contact number and mail address of Royal Mail?

Thanks,
Krishna.

HO uses normal airmail service to return documents to overseas addresses. AFAIK, such deliveries are not tracked by any postal agencies in any country.

Royal Mail website.
