Lost my IRP Card, hiwlong will it take to receive a new one?

Hi there, IRP card was stolen. We have sent the Gards report and copy of their passport by email to immigrationsupport@justice.ieand on the 3rd of June and haven't heard back yet. Would anyone know how long it takes to get a new card issued after sending out that email? We are in a rush as my father in law has a major surgery scheduled and we have no idea if he's going to make it out alive or not We have booked flights to be there with him. Flights are on the 22nd of June.

IRP renewal timelines take 9-10 weeks now and I doubt your card will be issued any sooner, to be honest.
Maybe look into getting a re-entry visa if you urgently need to leave? post2068648.html#p2068648

If you qualify for an IRP card you should contact us by email at immigrationsupport@justice.ie explaining your circumstances and your urgent need to travel. You should submit proof of travel, for example your flight booking and the reason for the emergency.

To be honest it takes ages. 3 months plus.
Also they don't even bother replying to emails.

Re entry visa is a quick and easy solution

Just wonder, If you dont have a IRP card on hand, can you get a re-entry visa?

I would hope that in this case it's possible, since the status itself is approved and IRP was issued: it's just the physical card that is gone, but can't say for sure. I would advise to bring physical copies and all the documents to show it was issued to the OP, but it's up to them what they have and can bring.
