Lost OCI Booklet - In UK - Due Travel Very Soon

Hi

I am due to travel to India on the 1st October 2015 - However cannot locate my
Oci booklet although I have my stamp in the passport.

I have called the VFS and they have advised there is not emergency OCI Card and requested me to apply again
for a replacement taking 6 wks !

I would like to know - Will I be able to get a six month visa to India even tho I have a OCI card ?

What are my best options ?

I do not wish to cancel the flights

To the OP: Check with VFS if you can be issued an X visa (for ex citizens). That is typically issued in three working days.
