Lying to Border Control

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could advise me on the following:

I came to the UK as a visitor (I am a US citizen) and was stopped by border control for more questioning. The officer took my passport to speak with their manager for further consultation. During the questioning, I was asked if I had a significant other, which I lied about. I said I did not when I do. I wasn't thinking straight having been on an overnight flight and quite scared of being refused entry. I know I shouldn't have but it was a split second decision made from sleep deprivation that I regret. Well the officer came back and let me through without further questioning but I got the 'leave to enter' stamp with the landing card number on it. Now I don't know exactly what they wrote on the back of the landing card but I assume they did put that I claimed to not have a significant other.

Will this pose a problem when we apply for a family visa later this year? We are going to get married in the US in a couple of months and then I will apply for a UK visa.

I also stated that I will be staying the UK for 2 months on my landing card. My visa is for 6 months but will it be an issue if I stay longer then 2 months but less than 6 months?
