The company that will be issuing my CoS has its registered office address in London. I am based outside of London and would prefer to work from home most of the time, with occasional travel to the London office once or twice a month.
The company is part of a larger group outside the UK, and the group has an office near my base location. However, this group office is registered under a different group company that is not legally connected to the company issuing my CoS. In other words, according to Companies House records, the two companies are unrelated entities.
My question is: can my employer list the group company’s registered office as a work location on my CoS, even though that office is not owned or registered under my employer? The group is open to arranging for me to work from that office. Would it be acceptable for me to work primarily from that location (and from home) and travel to my company’s London office only as needed?
Does the address listed on the CoS—and the location where I primarily work—need to be a site that is owned or registered by my sponsoring company?
