Maintainance Fund Query

Post by rakshanda » Fri Jul 31, 2009 10:51 pm

Hi there,
I had deposited and maintained funds equivalent to £2800 in an account other than my salary account for past 3 months.
And I am not maintaining a good balance in my salary account.
So can you please suggest should I go ahead with Tier 1 visa application showing one account for maintenance funds and other one as proof of salary (even though I am not maintaining a good balance in it, nearing 0 every month and the worry is if the case worker pays too much attention to salary account). Or should I get maintenance funds transferred to my salary account and apply after another 3 months

you can maintain amount in separate accounts. You can also use combination of your accounts to prove maintenance funds.
In your case, it is perfectly fine to use account other than salary account for maintenance funds.

So what is the proof required for salary. Is it only salary slips or something more
If i have started working from DEC, are 7 months sufficient for this

i will put it this way.. Proof for EARNINGS> Payslips and Bankstatements (original)
If i have started working from DEC, are 7 months sufficient for this
As long as u can earn enough points using any of the 12 consecutive months in the last 15months.. you shd be fine.. here the main point is 2months or 12months will that amount give u enough points to qualify?? if yes than go ahead..

Depending on how your employment setup it, evidence for salary is Payslips+Bank Statement or invoices etc.
Presuming you are in salaried employment it will be payslips+bank statements.

Yes you can claim for only 7 months provided you are meeting sufficient points criteria. You can claim points for 12 of last 15 consecutive months.
