Maintainance funds from overseas account: Applying from UK

Post by mmrshishir » Sun Sep 05, 2010 12:40 am

Hi
I am finishing my MSc in October 2010. My visa is going to expired in november. I can not cover 90 days of maintainance funds as I got the extension (Tier4 ) in end of Auguest 2010. I have an account in home country where I have Blance available more £800 for last 6 months. Can I show My overseas bank account as Maintainance funds.
I have been to UKBA website. And I got the informations about the maintainance documents-
Maintenance (funds) can include:

1. cash savings in your bank account that have been in your account for at least three months before your application;

2. cash savings in a joint bank account that have been in your joint account for at least three months before your application;

3. cash savings held in a bank account overseas (we convert the amount to pounds sterling using the rate which appears on the OANDA website, whcih you can find on the right side of this page, and the date on your bank statement), that have been in your account for at least three months before your application.
Please help me.

Any bank anywhere in the world, as long as the bank is regulated by the central bank / governing body of the country in which you hold the money.

Thank you very much. I was worried as some of friends told me if I show backhome's bank statement then I have to apply from home country.
