Maintenance Fund for Spouse

Post by Amazing_leo » Sun May 02, 2010 6:56 pm

Hi !

I'm looking to apply for Tier 1 General along with my wife (as a dependent). Me and wife are currently in UK (I'm on Tier2 and she as my dependent) for around 6months now.

I have the following query on the Maintenance Fund for dependent (my wife):

Me and wife jointly hold around GBP 700 in a joint account (where she is the primary account holder) in India. My wife also has around GBP 1000 in India in her personal account.

Can the abovementioned balances (which are in India and in my wife's account) be used to establish the Maintenance Fund of £1600 for her ?

Thanks in advance....
