maintenance fund req if switching from tier 2 general

Post by esal » Mon Jan 04, 2010 9:17 pm

hello ppl,

one query here -

I am planing to apply for tier 2 general this month. as not fully sure will get tier 1 general at this stage.

but once I get tier2 general planning to immediately apply for Tier 1 General as even if it gets rejected I will have tier2 in hand.

question is-
1) can I apply immediately to tier 1 general right after I get Tier 2 general stamped

2) do I need to show the maintenance funds again in my account for Tier 1 general if I apply in next 2/3 months time? or Can I claim(get) points since I will be showing it in tier2 application.

hope I havn't confused much..
thanking in advance ....

There is no such Tier 2 general. It is Tier 2 - Sponsored skilled workers.

Answers:
1) Yes you can apply for Tier 1, immediately after Tier 1 stamped
2) Yes, these are two separate applications and the maintenance fund proof would be treated as such! So you need to maintain the fund that you have the required fund maintained as per guidance.
