Maintenance Fund

I have deposited 2 lakhs [1 lakh + 1 lakh] in my salary account (my own cash reserve/jewels ) + 50,000 transfered from my friends account. I am maintaining a balance of over 3 Lakhs for the past 3 months and wish to apply for the EC in 1st week of Aug. Now is it ok to submit the bank statement alone?. or do I need to show the source of the money that I have deposited/ transfered to my account? Please advice me. Please point me if there is any problem area in this regard.

1. If the maintenance fund in your salary a/c only, then those cash transaction will be visible to them. Therefore, you need to show the proof of funds. Probably u can show transaction from your other a/c where u saved money and transfered to this account, or selling receipt of the jewels showing the money.

2. If this is not your salary a/c, then wait for more than 3 months, and take last 3 months statement where theses transactions are not reflected. Like if u deposited the money in 2nd May, take statement from 3rd May - 2nd August.
