maintenance funds - joint account

Post by satish.pand » Tue Feb 17, 2009 1:55 pm

Hi,

I have applied for my tier 1 extension today with my wife. I have a joint bank account with my wife name. For the maintenance fund requirement, do I need to get an signed consent and submit it with the application from my wife that the joint account can be used for the maintenance requirement.

I just saw an post in this link www.spammer.com/discuss/hsmpi/25844517 wherein an application was refused for this reason. any comments please. I am worried whether I need to send this letter.

regards
satish

In tulasian' case he submitted his wife's bank account for his funds requirement.. though he mentioned it is their joint funds not joint account which is not your case.. in ur case it is joint account which means in those bank statements both ur n ur wife's name is there

that is wat HO looks for, do the evidences have ur name.. so not to worry.. but on a safer side u shd have mentioned in the coverletter initially though it is OK
