maintenence funds - dependant child

Post by vidya » Mon May 03, 2010 1:41 pm

hello , i went to UK in 2008 on hsmp/tier1 and got extension last year , came to india for delivery and now applying for babys visa. please can u clarify my queries  -

A) do i need to show 2800+1600x2 ( spouse and child) maintainence fund as am applying for baby from india or 800+533x2 as am in UK for more than 12 months and am only visiting india for delivery

B) our a/cin UK is insufficient to meet the above requierment of 6000 gbp hence am showing a current a/c in india and FD in india as well - is the UK bank statement + indian current a/c pass book + indian FD certificate sufficient or do i need letters from each of the banks - not sure what the new guidelines from april 2010 say ?
thanks very much

The 800 + 2x533 should apply...£1866 should be maintained for at least 3 months...so not the 6000 yoiu mentioned

This evidence you mentioned will be sufficient so long as you and/or dependants are named in the accounts.
thanks very much
