manual passport vs machine readable passport for tier1 extn

Post by jalal.din » Mon Apr 27, 2009 1:08 pm

Hi,
I have an in person permium service booking in first week of may for tier 1 extension. We are blessed with a baby last week. I want to iclude him as dependent as well. Pakistan embassy takeas several weeks for usual machine readable passport. But I can get the manual passport on same day. Me and my wife have machine readable passport. Can anybody see any issues with manual passport? This passport will be valid for 1 year.
Thanks for your comments.
regards,
Jalal

I don't see any issue here.Manual and Machine readable passport are the same things as it is issue by your embassy. You can get your kid's visa stamped on the manual passport and get it transferred on the machine passport when manual passport expires at the end of 1 year. This will alsio save your money as well as hassles at later stage.
