marriage affidavit in lieu of certificate for FLR

Hi folks,

Since I do not have marriage certificate, will it be OK if I submit marriage affidavit for FLR (Still waiting for HSMP :evil: ). Can anyone suggest me how to get a marriage certificate in India ( especially after 13 years of marriage :( ). Can Indian Embassy in UK help me in this regard?
